Issues unpacking [Unraid]

Post by cglassware »

I’ve been running into a "No files found are eligible for import" error from Sonarr over the last few months, and I think it's an unpacking issue with Sab. Google typically points to a permissions issue but I've reset all my permissions multiple times (I'm using Unraid), and it's not all downloads that fail, just most of them.

When I get this error, I end up going into Sonarr’s Activity tab and blacklisting the release, then redownloading a new one. Sometimes it takes five or six attempts before I land on a release Sab can actually unpack.

If I check my /downloads/complete directory, I usually see a scatter of .001, .002, etc. files. It feels like Sab is choking on the archive and never producing the final extracted files, so Sonarr has nothing to import.

Things I’ve tried so far:
- Resetting all permissions in Unraid
- Resetting various switches in SABnzbd
- Reinstalling the SABnzbd Docker container in Unraid

I have logs but new users aren't allowed to post links and they exceed the post character limits, so the pastebin slug is hZrEJqgV.

To rule out Unraid stuff:

With SABnzbd on your PC/Mac, with plain settings, what happens when you download the same NZB?

https://pastebin.com/hZrEJqgV shows things like "File XICLlX1PN2o1X547S.7z.001 added to queue" ... so ....7z.001. I don't know if SABnzbd understands that. EDIT: Ah, I found "7z.0001" in my own logging for another download ... so known format?

When I search for an NZB with the same name as yours, I don't find a NZB with those contents, so I can't try to reproduce. So ... you could also share that nzb on pastebin, so others can try. And/or send to safihre at sabnzbd dot org with subject "SJ, cglassware".

FWIW: "RAWR" in your NZB name ... and someone else is also complaining on a download non-unpacking with"RAWR" in the name: viewtopic.php?t=27128 . Might be coincidence, or not

You have 7zip disabled in Config > Specials.
It says in the logs:
enable_7zip = 0

You must have modified that at some point in the past, as by default it is of course enabled.
