No connection to Eweka

Hello everyone,

i have the problem that my sabnzbd isn't connecting to eweka servers anymore and i have absolutely no clue why this happens. It worked like a charm for over 1 1/2 years now, but completely stopped working, can't connect to the servers anymore, with NZBGet it works flawless, but i want to use sabnzbd again because it's the better program in my humble opinion.

At First there is no error message, it just doesn't start downloading and after a minute i'm getting told that the connection to the server can't be established and that the news server will be ignored for 10 mins.

Like i said i didn't changed anything, and the other client is just working as expected, don't know whats wrong

is eweka your only newsserver?

If you have others: do they work?

Yeah eweka is the only news server i use mate

what if you add "news.newshosting.com" as newsserver and click on Test Server?

what if you add "news.newshosting.com" as newsserver and click on Test Server?
I'm getting told that the newsserver is not valid, don't matter if i try with or without ssl

That was my first thought as well, double checked everything and everything seems fine, at least for me, on the other hand why is nzbget working flawless than, i really don't get it and i am absolutely out of ideas, because i only installed nzbget to test, if the problem is only with sabnzbd. ???

AFAIK a Windows firewall allows / blocks based on program

EDIT:

If you have another PC/mac in your home, try sabnzbd from there?

in my case bitdefender is handling all that and it never was a problem after all of it was setup, thats why my had smoking already.

yeah good idea, i test it on my laptop tomorrow evening.
