OSX SABnzbd 0.4.8 Unrar wont work

Hi Guys!

Iam using Sabnzbd for over half a year now. Same great prog as it is on the pc...


Just a small problem:

After downloading files there being repaired with par corecctly and the the prog tries to unpack them.

Everytime i got this error message:

[RAR-INFO] Filename: => ERROR: CRC failed in "IMAGE.iso"


Iam using newest version !

Does this happen for each (different) download?
Sometimes people just post incorrect stuff.

As an experiment, when you get this again:
Download in 'R' mode, so that you keep the par2 files.
Then check the result yourself with par2 or QuickPar.

Yes that happens in every single download no matter what i try!

Re-install SABnzbd.
Clean the queue by starting it with the --clean option.

And maybe run a memory checker.

Or on OSX, MacPar Deluxe (donationware) works great to check par2 and unpack...

Guys its not working!

I reinstalled sabnzbd.. I even reinstalled Leopard ;-)


The rars are correctly repaired with par....

So its defentily the unrar thats not working.


If i unrar manually with zipeg its working..

Any suggestions ??

Could you try with 0.4.9 ?
What's your hardware config  (CPU, RAM, Hard Disk Free space) ?

Well yes i tried 0.4.9...

No luck sorry...

But i think there are problems repairing the files correctly.

When i download and let the prog just check the rars with the pars and repair them and running macpar deluxe afterwards i get a lot of checksum errors...

Strange...

My Hadware:

Mac 2 GhZ

2 GB Ram

120 Gigs free space

Have you tried to set the PAR2 parameter in Config->Switches to -t- ?
This will stop par2 from trying to use multiple cores.

Could you please try this, open a Terminal and type :

mv /Applications/SABnzbd.app/Content/Resources/osx/par2/par2 /Applications/SABnzbd.app/Content/Resources/osx/par2/par2-ttb
ln -s /Applications/SABnzbd.app/Content/Resources/osx/par2/par2-classic /Applications/SABnzbd.app/Content/Resources/osx/par2/par2

These lines replace the par2 ttb by a link to the par2-classic.

Could you also post the output of this command ?
