So just reinstalling everything new on my box including SABnzb. I didn't take a backup of settings cause i thought it would be a sinch to reinstall. Almost.
Im getting stuck with the api key. I can regenerate one in SABnzb and Dognzb, but i cant edit either key (i.e copy SABnzb api into Dognzb or vice versa.) Im pretty sure i have to have the api matching so i can import nzbs into SABnzb.
Can Someone
* Confirm for me if i have to copy the SABnzb api key into DogNzb, or the other way round?
* have any ideas about why i cant seem to copy and paste api keys into either, only regenerate.
* Reccomend a good setup tutorial for SABnzb. My google foo has let me down.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

dognzb is a NZB site, right?
If so, no API key is needed.
Just put your personal Cart RSS feed from Dognzb (which contains a key) into your SABnzbd RSS settings.
It will probably something like https://api.dognzb.cr/rss?t=-2&dl=1&i=6 ... lbla&del=1
So: login on dognzb.cr , find the RSS URL for "cart" or "my cart" . Then, as a test, open that URL in your webbrowser. If that gives XML output, put that URL into SABnzbd RSS settings. If on dognzbd you put something into your cart, SABnzbd will fetch the NZB, and will download it.

The API keys don't have to be the same.
I think your misunderstanding. Each has their own api key to so they can do completely different things.
