Used Newsbin to download a large dataset but now I want to switch over to Sabnzbd to continue downloading the rest and repairing some of the old downloads.
Can sabnzdb figure out which files to skip and which files need repair? i tried copying over a few files into the download directory of Sabnzdb and it seems it just renames the files that already exist in the directory and adds a .1 to the extension. so essentially downloading from start.
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.
