504 error

Post by TrooperMeade »

I've been recently getting this error as I have too many connections. Not sure how to fix it. Is there a setting within Sabnzbd?

502 Too many connections

Post by TrooperMeade »

My first attempt at a post - 504 Error - was incorrect and I don't know how to fix it. This is how that post should have read:

Recently I've been getting this error message in SABNZBD and am not sure why or how to correct it.

My provider says:

You receive this error message when you try to establish more than the allowed number of connections at the same time.
You can establish up to 8 connections (bots, threads, lines).
Please check whether you have more connections than the permitted number set up in your news client.

It's the last sentence that I don't know understand. How do I find/check/set the permitted number in my news client?

Which provider do you have?

In SABnzbd: Config -> Server ... number of connections. Set it to 20, or lower.

Thanks for the reply. Eweka is my provider. Currently set to 50. Mind you it always has been and I've never had this problem til today.

In 99% of cases you don't need 50. I can get 10MB/s with just 1 connection, so with just 10 I can max out a gigabit connection.
Just try 20.
