index.dbmv not opening in vlc nor makemkv

I tried opening the file in notepad and this is the kind of thing shown -

INDX0200 N " >@ @ @ @ @ @

Is there a setting in sab that needs to be on or off to resolve this?

I have been using sabnzb for some time, had no issues before, id use the nzb from bd25.eu, sabnzb would do its thing, then id use makemkv to make an mkv for plex. Since a few months now, makemkv wont open the index.bdmv file, nor will vlc. So i inspected the index file in notepad and found the above. Is what i posted typica of a bdmv file?
