    Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.

Unable to find proper updater link

Hey all--TIA for any help you can provide........

Running an HP-built PC with Windows 8.0 w/Media Center and cannot find a way to update from SABnzb 3.1.1. Every link I select from the Downloads page won't allow the update. I've disabled the so-called "SmartScreen", having no luck at all with any of this.

Obviously I'm rather computer dumb so bear with me please?!?! :)

Windows 8 is no longer supported by the installer.
You can download the 32bit legacy Standalone Version
That one should run.

Okay so further proving my dumbness here's an image of what I see on the SABnzb Downloader Page:Image or https://imgur.com/mKEIpHU

Which do I choose? Is there a step-by-step tutorial I can follow? Anything assumed I should already know or is easily understood tends to escape me.

As I'm not having any issues using the 3.1.1 version is there a benefit to updating the program in my computer?

Windows Portable 32bit.
Download it.
Unpack it.
Run SABnzbd.exe
That's it!

You can also empty the Program Files / SABnzbd directory and put the content of the zip file in there.

Sadly none of that works, there is no SABnsbd.exe file to be found in that download.

What am I missing by NOT updating this application? Frustration is setting in big time! :)

I think you might better stick to your current verison, as I cannot make it simpler than these steps..

And here I thought I'd be the first to give up? :D

So when I download the suggested file there is no SABb\nzb.exe file that I can see. There is an application link along with a "console SAB link that opens a Command Prompt window which quickly closes. I cannot extract the update file---it doesn't seem to be a compressed file.
