I have Sonarr set up for my TV shows and that works great to keep things organized. Here and there I will grab some movies with an NZB file and wondering if there is a script or something I can configure in sabnzbd so it will move it to the folder I have with movies.
TV shows will run through a script that will change an MKV to a MP4 and that runs automatically. Was hoping if something is classified as a movie, it does not do that. I set up something under Categories, and figure I need to do something under Sorting, but no idea what I need to put so sabnzbd 'knows' it is a movie opposed to a TV show.
Anyone have a primer on that? Appreciate any point in the right direction!

Re: Adding some automation for movies
Use the specific Sorter for each category. So only the Movie sorter for the movies category and the Series Sorter for the TV category. And don't forget to enable them.
Then make sure when you add an NZB, it's in the right category. This sometimes works automatically because Indexers can provide tags in the header of the NZB file, so if you got the NZB from a good indexer it will probably automatically go in the TV or movies category.
With the Sorter no scripts should be needed.
Alternatively, you can also use Sonarr and Radarr to handle all your serie and movie needs fully.

Re: Adding some automation for movies
Been a bit since I visited this. I have since set up Radarr and that is working well. When I download from Sonarr, I want sabnzbd to run a script I have. When it downloads from Radarr, I do not want the script to run. I'm guessing I need to maybe pass that from Radarr somehow?
Re: Adding some automation for movies
Yes, you can use a different Category for Sonarr and Radarr. This way you can configure in Config > Categories (in SABnzbd) that only for the category you use for Radarr the script should run.

Re: Adding some automation for movies
I do have categories set up, but not sure it is doing anything. I have one that says TV and one that says Movies. The TV one has the script on there, but when I grab from Radarr, I don't think sabnzbd knows that it is a movie and not to run the script.
Guess I'm missing what might need to go into the Indexer Categories/Groups in order to automate the processing. I also have the script on the default profile, guessing that might need to go.

Re: Adding some automation for movies
I saw in Radarr and Sonarr to add categories but they kept failing test. I removed and added the categories to sabnzbd again and then the test passed.
