Good morning. I had an issue where I had to basically reset Sabnzbd and Sonarr. Ive got them talking to each other, and they will work together to download a show, for example "Venture.Bros.S01E01.mkv". When it downloads it, it creates a folder named Unpack_Venture.Bros.S01E01, then when completed it renames that folder to Venture.Bros.S01E01, but the mkv file inside of it is A. not moved to the proper folder, and B. the name is left as some long character name like 8123j12381823jjjsrjaksdfjasdr813881238132.mkv.
Ive gone and checked permissions for system internal user, my username, etc and set most everything to read/write access and it is still exhibiting the same issue. Is there something I'm missing?

You should check with Sonarr logs why it's not pickup the download. It should automatically pick it up based on the history API that it queries.

Re: SABNZBD for DSM 7.0.1 wont rename/move files
Well now Im having an even bigger problem. Sonarr just stopped working, period and then Sabnzbd did. I figured maybe it was something I screwed up (which I didnt), so I said screw it, ive got backups of all of the important stuff, plex, pictures, music, comics, etc - so let me just reinstall DSM.
Now Sabnzbd wont even install, and neither will Sonarr. This is all after literally ZERO change on my end. I updated DSM like a week ago and things were working just fine and then *poof.* I can only imagine an update was pushed or something broke something somewhere.

Re: SABNZBD for DSM 7.0.1 wont rename/move files
This thread can be closed. I've decided to move away from both Sonarr and Sabnzbd as they clearly got something screwed up in their last update. After doing research I see to even try to get this to work I have to roll back another piece of software because the newest software doesn't work.
Typical.
Maybe when the developers can have a sit down and figure out how to get their respective software to work together - and not create updates that randomly destroy the functionality of the software itself, I can take a look at these again.
Til then, it's Rarbg and qBitorrent.

Re: SABNZBD for DSM 7.0.1 wont rename/move files
I have no clue what you are talking about to be honest.
Sonarr and SABnzbd have been working well together for years and do so just as well today.
The SynoCommunity packages for DSM for both are designed to work together as best as possible on the platform. Synology has made many roadblocks that we need to work around on DSM with the new permissions system in DSM 7.
Seems more like something is just not configured right on your system.

Re: SABNZBD for DSM 7.0.1 wont rename/move files
Everything *was* working 100%, until about 2 weeks ago, but I didn't realize anything was wrong because I had been busy and hadn't had much time to catch up on TV shows. When I realized I was missing several episodes of shows, I went to check Sonarr, and I saw errors that kept saying Sonarr was unable to download because something had to be upgraded. I upgraded, and then it was able to actually download through Sabnzbd, but unable to rename stuff and move it to the correct folder. It kept leaving the files with long gibbeerish names like 21i30108210jajljaskjlsjd12830182038012983.mkv and so on.
The only change was the update. I didn't change *any* permissions, or settings on either piece of software. After repeated tries to get it to work, like I mentioned, I basically reset my NAS, JUST incase it was user error. (it wasnt, but whatever). After this, I kept getting errors even trying to install the software with "invalid file format, contact the developer" errors or something like that. Over and over and over. Then someone on the Sonarr forums said that Sonarr and Sabnzbd don't delete everything when uninstalling them, which prevents reinstallations.
Ok, fine. I SSH'ed into the NAS, removed the nzbdrone and sabnzbd directories - and then finally was able to install them. But now Sonarr cant search for anything because of some app called mono that is updated and screwed something else up. Sabnzbd now just claimed it had permissions issues on my download folder, even though I checked my permissions and they were all set to read/write for every user/group to avoid issues like this exact thing.
Nothing worked. I uninstalled Sabnzbd tried to reinstall yet again - and now It cant even install python.
Its literally a waste of time.
Sorry man, no offense meant, I know you work hard on this but - it just broke after updating something that *required* an update. I'm tapping out and just going back to manually searching for shows to download.

Re: SABNZBD for DSM 7.0.1 wont rename/move files
I can add bit of help, and also confirm some issue. First, as far as Sonarr not working, I had the same issue. I went into Sonarr settings and disabled certificate check and that got Sonarr working again. I can confirm the folder issue. Mine is this. in Sonarr say I have a show I want in a folder.
/want/show/here
And in the Downloader settings in Sonarr you have to choose a default folder which also has to be mapped in Sab
/sabnzbd/default
No matter what I do, anything I download in Sonarr automatically goes to the /sabnzbd/default folder and not the folder requested for the specific show in Sonarr. I will make due with the single folder option and move stuff around as need after, but just wanted to confirm there is indeed a problem after the DSM 7 update. No changes made other than killing nzbget because of its incompatibility.
