Every download fails?

Post by nails666 »

Hi, I'm hoping someone on here can help me. I've been trying out Sabnzbd for a couple of weeks now and I just can't get it to successfully complete any download. The actual download itself seems to go ok but when it tries to unpack or repair then I get errors every time. The errors vary a bit but the most common are 'Corrupt RAR File' and 'Repairing Failed'. I know the files on the server are fine as a friend of mine has downloaded the exact same files from the same newsgroup server with Sabnzbd and it worked fine. I've tried changing various switches (direct unpack, download all PAR files etc) but nothing seems to make any difference. I've also tried un-installing and re-installing but it still did the same. I'm running it on a normal Windows 10 PC and I installed it with Admin rights if that makes any difference and I've turned on Debugging in the logs but they don't make much sense to me.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what I could try next?

Thanks.

I take your "Every download fails" litterally, so:

In SABnzbd's upper right corner, click on the wrench symbol ("Status and interface options"), then click on first tab Status, and there click on "Test download" 100MB or 1000MB.

What is the result?

Thanks for the reply. I tried the 100MB and that one completes successfully. I've now tried it out on my other (gaming) PC using all the same settings, internet connect, server, indexer etc and it works fine on that one so I'm guessing it must be something to do with the installation on my file server PC.
