Fresh Install - Items Stuck In Queue

Post by GasPedal »

Hi All! I'm fairly new to using Sabnzbd, but my goal is to use it with nzb su + Sonarr + Plex.

I am currently running Ubuntu Server 16.04

The general idea how I think this should work is the following:

1. Choose shows to lookup via Sonarr
2. Add them and search which pushes items to Sabnzbd
3. Sabnzbd downloads the items
4. Items can be viewed via Plex
5. Sonarr continues to monitor for new episodes/changes

Is this correct?

Within Sabnzbd --> Servers I have configured nbz su which worked for a little bit it seemed, but now when I go back to test it I receive a Errno 111(110, timed out).

For example I searched "Shameless" on Sonarr, all the items came into Sabnzbd, but they sat idle in the queue.

I also have two warnings
1. Your UNRAR version is 4.10 we recommend version 5+
2. SABYenc module...NOT FOUND

Any tips/advice about getting this up and running would be appreciated as I feel like I am almost there.

First make sure to set things up correctly, please follow this guide:
https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/installation/i ... buntu-repo

Then:
NZB.su is only an indexer, not something you can download from. You need a real newsserver for that.
You enter NZBsu info in Sonarr, and your newsserver, for example Giganews in SABnzbd.

Alright I have fixed SABYenc - is the other warning a huge issue at the moment? (I didn't see a specific section about that)

Then:
NZB su is only an indexer, not something you can download from. You need a real newsserver for that.
You enter NZBsu info in Sonarr, and your newsserver, for example in SABnzbd.
Ah I see that makes a lot more sense...I was confused in my thinking that an indexer is simply a place to download items from. In reality it's a repository of direction on where to find specific files and keeps track of them. The newsgroups is the piece that actually hosts (and is usually paid I believe) part of this process.

(removed links in quote since it won't let me reply without doing so)

So I have joined a newsserver, but now when adding a series in Sonarr to track - nothing gets pushed into Sabnzbd...I have tested the connection to the download client within Sonarr and it was successful.

Any ideas on what to check for that?

You have to trigger a search from within sonarr. Go to your Wanted tab and click search all missing.
If you dont see any episodes there you need to "watch" episodes and seasons of your show first.
