Problem renaming after unpack!

Post by newfers »

Hi folks,
I apologize in advance that I'm not terribly good at figuring out all the ins-and-outs of sabnzbd, but it HAS been working flawlessly for a while...until today!

I recently purchased a Nighthawk router, with a built-in PLEX server, and I attached a large USB drive to the server, to serve my media to our tvs within the house.. Within Sabnzbd, I set my tv and movies categories to move the media to the new networked (U:) drive, from my previously used PC drive.

Media will download perfectly through sabnzbd to this new U: drive , and it unpacks/unrars, but for some reason files are suddenly not being renamed properly. Rather, I end up with unpacked titles like "c38a74745f43420dbd31b244626f9138.mkv". Up until I started downloading media to this new drive, I had no issues with renaming!

I'm quite certain I didn't change anything else (on purpose, anyway!) within sabnzbd... needless to say, PLEX doesn't recognize these oddly named files, and they therefore aren't streamed to my tv.

help! Anyone?

You can try to enabke in Sorting the movie and series renamer. This will use the NZB name to rename the files, instead of the obfuscated filenames inside the archives.
Maybe you already had this enabled for the Default category?

I can't remember why I never initially enabled anything in the Sorting categories - I think I'd read somewhere NOT to use it.

In any case, I set it up, and by god, it seems to work...for now.

Thanks so much!
