I'm fairly new to sabnzbd, but since nzbget no longer gets updated on synocommunity, I really would like to make the switch. could anyone help me find out why it slows down after some 3G initial download? thanks in advance

slow down after ~3g downloads?
I have gigabit connection, and have latest stable sabnzbd installed on my Synology ds3615xs (with quad-core xeon e3, so performance shouldn't be an issue). when I add a task to sabnzbd, initially it's blazing fast (~70-80m/s), but after around 2.5-3g of download, it slows down to ~40m/s. I have installed python and then use pip to install the latest sabyenc, and set cache to 4G (which never even reach 1G of cache usage). I tried to download the same .nzb file with same server setup on nzbget, it was able to get constant ~70/m without noticeable slowdown, but with higher CPU utilization at ~14% (where sabnzbd only maxed out at ~8%, good job!).
I'm fairly new to sabnzbd, but since nzbget no longer gets updated on synocommunity, I really would like to make the switch. could anyone help me find out why it slows down after some 3G initial download? thanks in advance

Re: slow down after ~3g downloads?
It might be a bug in 2.0.0 that I fixed in 2.0.1. I send that update to SynoCommunity, but the guy is on holiday for the next week so might be a bit before you can update..
Although it's a bit strange indeed that it goes slower after quite a lot of downloading.
Could it be that it is not using your primary server anymore because it's missing articles? And that your secondary newsserver is slower?

Re: slow down after ~3g downloads?
I don't think it's any server problem, since I used nzbget to download the exact file, with exactly the same Server setup, nzbget was able to get a consistent speed, though it looks like nzbget is sucking up more resourcesafihre wrote:It might be a bug in 2.0.0 that I fixed in 2.0.1. No no, I mean newsservers, not your own server but the ones you download from
