Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

Lower your Article cache to 250M.
When you run as a service, Windows will decide when a service is less important and restrict its memory usage.

I too am getting this error. I changed the cache as suggested. My setup is running on Windows 7 as an app though. Hopefully this will fix it. So far, so good for a couple hours.
