sab appears to not unpack nzb/rar files

Post by steinklatre »

Version: 1.1.1 [33a7874]
OS: Openmediavault 3 (debian)
Install-type: linux-repository
Skin (if applicable): default
Firewall Software: none
Are you using IPV6? don't think so
Is the issue reproducible? yes

Movie requested in couchpotato and the nzb is successfully sent to sabnzbd after download the movie gets moved to sabnzbdtemp folder. The renamer on couchpotato (which is watching the moviedump folder) tries to rename but says this:
01-06 17:18:47 INFO [tato.core.plugins.renamer] Scanning media folder /moviedump/movie (2016) 1080p BluRay x264 DTSDD5.1 NL SUBS NU IN DE movie.cp(tt3774114)...
01-06 17:18:47 INFO [tato.core.plugins.scanner] Download ID provided (tt3774114), but no groups found! Make sure the download contains valid media files (fully extracted).
I do have categories setup with:
couchpotato, normal, default and the moviedump folder
sonarr, normal, default and the tvdump folder

everything else is bone stock but when I view the downloaded movie directly there doesn't seem to be any movie but random files.

P.S. only error I see in Couchpotato besides the above is:
01-06 18:02:03 ERROR
[tato.core.plugins.browser] Failed getting directory "/home/couchpotato" : Traceback (most recent call last): File "/opt/couchpotato/couchpotato/core/plugins/browser.py", line 96, in view dirs = self.getDirectories(path = path, show_hidden = show_hidden) File "/opt/couchpotato/couchpotato/core/plugins/browser.py", line 60, in getDirectories for f in os.listdir(path): OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/couchpotato'

"nfiles" ... what are those? "tato.core.plugins.renamer" ... what is that?

That is not SABnzbd, AFAIK. So probably Couchpotato?

Ah good catch! was supposed to read nzb files. Fixed the title.

The plugin.renamer is couchpotato trying to grab the finished downloading movie. When looking at the finished downloaded movie that its trying to grab I see movie.year.1080p.part01.rar through .part19.rar.

Does this mean that its not unpacking and compiling correctly?

When I tested the the download via the Newshosting newsreader app on arch linux the movie downloaded and compiled perfectly so I verified its a good nzb.

To isolate SABnzbd and Couchpotato:

Get a NZB from http://www.binsearch.info/index.php?q=u ... &postdate= , put it into SABnzbd, and check if it downloads correctly.

If so, SABnzbd is OK I would say. I can't help you with Couchpotato; I've never used it.

PS:

FWIW @ "sab appears to not compile the nzb files" ... sab does not compile nzb files at all. So I don't understand your title.

Fixed the title again. I wasn't sure (programmer here) if it was unpacking the rars and compiling the pieces or what. I understand now I think.

Regarding the test yes SABnzbd does work correctly except for the post-processing part it appears. The couchpotato piece I felt was relevant because that was where I noticed it SABnzbd wasn't unpacking properly.

Which post-processing?
What is the download result? An ISO-file (plus maybe some .txt files)? Or do you see rar/par files in the Ubuntu directory?

I understand the post-processing to be the act of putting the various rars into a single final file (movie, iso etc).

The download result is: bunch of rars and a .sfv

... of the Ubuntu download, which NZB you got from binsearch? If so, that is an issue within SABnzbd.

What does SABnzbd say as the download result? And what is the arrow-dropdown menu uttermost right on the download line?

Do you have recursive unpack turned on in Config Switches?

Hi, I have the exact same problem. Did you perhaps fix it and if so, can you share that with me?
