quick questions

Post by macsusenet »

Hey there forum people!

I just have two quick questions im hoping you can answer today,

Firstly, it seems once my item queue hits over 30 items it starts to struggle to handle it, for example it will start checking files 5 down the list, skipping some, then come to a standstill. Any way I can stop this?

Also, any of you have any good suggestions for media management software? I have a ton of TV shows in named folders however its hard to tell whats watched and whats not, is there any good media management software that helps with this?

Finally do you have any indexer suggestions that dont need payment with card/bitcoin. Like nzbGeek for example, I just paid them with an amazon gift card. Any others like that? Drunkenslug and nzbgeek are my only indexers right now and they are fine for tv shows but i always, ALWAYS stuggle with films... any suggestions?

I appreciate the help from you guys here :D, thanks in advance :D

What we've seen is that "large" queue issues occur only on systems with very little memory.
By now indexers only accept BitCoin for reasons of "privacy".

Thats odd because my system has plenty of memory? Im using 16GB DDR4 RAM which should be plenty? Could there be any other cause?

30 items shouldn't be a problem at all. Large queues are 300+.
It can skip items if you have multiple servers and Sab already knows that a certain download isn't available on one, it will move to the next.
Do you have 'Check before download' turned on? This feature is buggy and not very useful, you should just enable 'Abort downloads that cannot be completed'
From time to time restarting Sab might help (if Sab has been running for days).

Hey there,

I have had 60 items max when things seem to go out the window. Im running my setup off my regular day to day pc so I only open and use SAB as and when needed (If im heading out for the day or something to leave things going), my pc is way more than powerful enough so im not quite sure as to why its happening. I do have the check before download feature on so would you suggest I turn that off and just set it to abort downloads?

I appreciate the help :D

I'd indeed suggest to switch the settings!
