Not paused, status page will not load but rest of interface does. Passed --clean to dump queue, download only articles from top isn't selected.
I was two versions behind so updated hoping that would resolve, rebooted, restarted. Items will go in queue but Sab just sits there idle.
Running on freenas plugin in bsd jail.

Re: Sab not downloading
What version are you on now? 1.0.3 or 1.1.0RC?
Status page won't load? Are you using the SMPL skin?
Can you check if in the Servers setting, if you have there selected the Default category for all your servers?

More specifically it times out attempting to load after I click status. No errors in the logs.safihre wrote:Status page won't load?

Under server I see the only use server for these categories box. Default is lit in grey, clicking default (or any other category) lights it in blue suggesting to me that the grey indicates the category option isn't selected at all. This makes sense as the programs which add download items to sab are configured to select categories and in practice I don't use default let alone only use default.safihre wrote:Can you check if in the Servers setting, if you have there selected the Default category for all your servers?
Re: Sab not downloading
Aah it times out, so this might mean a problem with your connection.
What is your usenet server? Does it work when you go into Config>Server and then Test connection for your servers?
Can you go into Switches and at Server load-balancing, turn of load balancing?
The status page timing out indicates to me a DNS/connection problem.

Re: Sab not downloading
Connectivity itself was good but DNS was pointed to an old internal resolver that lived on a DL380 I just pulled from my rack a week or so ago. Updated and everything works now.safihre wrote:Aah it times out, so this might mean a problem with your connection.

Curious how the status page timeout pointed you right to the issue but would seem like the red herring to me since it appears to be a sab internal page which just displays warnings. Something to do with the check for updated version maybe that prevents it from loading if it can't resolve an external page?
In any case, I greatly appreciate the help!
Re: [RESOLVED] Sab not downloading
On that page we also try to check connectivity for DNS and your IPv4 address by connecting to our CloudFlare server (we don't save anything) so it can return your public IPv4 address.
But because of this report I will go and check why it fails to show you the status page, since it should have just shown you "Failed DNS" in the status.
