[SOLVED] All *OTHER* web activity slows when downloading

Post by cokefiend »

Version: 1.0.3 [927ba3c]
OS: Windows 7 Pro
Install-type: Windows Installer
Firewall Software: Windows Firewall
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes

This just started today. I upgraded from another (not sure which) version to try and fix this. I also shutdown my PC, then removed the IEC cable from the PSU for about ten minutes thinking it was related to my Realtek NIC.

That seems low. I am regularly hitting 7MB/s or more with sabnzbd. Not today, though. But I've never had websites not load even when sab was running slower than full speed.

See if you can spot where I unpaused sabnzbd.... ;D

It may the the Realtek NIC anyway.
I've had trouble before with those, especially under high loads.

So I decided to reboot my modem (SMC D3G) and router (RT-N66U running Tomato), just for fun. And I never, I mean NEVER, have to reboot. My network is very stable.

Everything is back to normal. 7.7MB/s via sab with high pings, but that's normal. And best of all, pages still load while downloading data.

It was very strange behavior, for sure. I appreciate your input. :)
