Will SABnzbd run on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?
The disk image contains instructions for 10.7 and newer, but I have not found anything mentioning 10.6.8...
Anyone know the answer?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

We stopped support of OSX before Mountain Lion.
It is still possible to run SABnzbd on SL, but you will need to install the prerequisites yourself.
Most notably: ActiveState's Python for OSX.

The reason is rather mundane: nobody in the team has a Snow Leopard system available.
I have a working SL image on VMWare Fusion, but I got complaints
that the build result doesn't run on real hardware.
It is still possible to run SABnzbd on SL, but you will need to install the prerequisites yourself.

Thanks for the info, shypike. I'll reply here if I end up giving it a shot (but might not, since if it ain't broke, why fix it, esp. if it's unsupported).
