is there a way to change the date display to MM/DD/YYYY ?

it is presently set for European format DD/MM/YYYY

edit: using the NEW Glitter -Night theme.

Did you try the Status and interface settings window? It's that little wrench icon on top.
Then go to Interface settings. Your format should be there.

THANKS! that did it! if it was a little harder to find I would have found it! when it's that easy -- I never stand a chance!
