SABnzbd Closes soon as it opens

Hi All,

Just installed this for the first time which the installation itself seem to finish successfully. However, once I run the program using the desktop icon or exe under cmd prompt, it will shortly close after a minute or so.

I have tried this with my 3rd party firewall program disabled.
I have tried editing and using different ports such as 8080, 8000, 38080 and used 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
Tried running the program via the safe mode option found.
Tried right clicking on the exe file and have it run as XP Compatible mode.

I have Windows 7 x64 Pro edition

Make sure SABnzbd is not running.
Open CMD.exe
"CD" to the directory containing "sabnzbd-console.exe" and run that from the CMD-box.

Im liking the status so far. It has been up for approx. 10min with no more incident. I have not done any further steps just incase..... What should be my next step?

So ...just to be sure ... did you use the command I gave you?

What should be my next step?

You could do this:
stop sabnzbd-console.exe
then start SABnzbd in the usual way (by clicking on the SAB icon).
I expect it to work

Or you could do this (more difficult)
Stop the 'old' sabnznbd-console.exe
Start sabnzbd-console.exe --server 127.0.0.1:8080
Immediately check if http://127.0.0.1:8080/ is reachable
And check after 5 minutes again.
