I have a few ?'s, here's the background:
I'm building an unRAID server, which runs on Slackware Linux 12.2. I've rarely used CLI's so I'm expecting a steep learning curve here. On the other hand, A's in Comp Sci I, II and mathematics bachelors so I can't be that dumb. Maybe there is hope.
Anyhow, after the build and config of the array, I am going to do a full install of Slackware and attempt to install sabnzbd.
I've searched the forums here and at lime technologies, and found only one member here who claims to have this working, but little was said about it.
SO... as far as getting sabnzbd running on slackware:
1) This is possible, right?
2) Am I in over my head?
3) Any basic references I should consult other than:
Slackware project book
unRAID manual/forums/wiki/FAQ's
sabnzbd manual/forums/wiki/FAQ's
google searches
4) Any advice?
5) Can I do the install remotely from my MacBook? The box will be hand and headless.
5.1) If so, how?
6) Is there anyone here who would be willing to help me out if I get stuck?
Thanks for any time spent,
Justin

Re: NEWBIE sabnzbd install on slackware 12.2?
I suppose Slackware is much like Debian/Centos/RedHat etc.
At least have a look at the installation Wiki pages.
How much work it is to install SABnzbd depends on what the package repository contains.
Look at http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/install-unix and http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/install-off-modules.
You need some SSH client for OSX.
Maybe this is useful: http://www.phil.uu.nl/~xges/ssh/
Assuming the Slackware box has access to internet, you can download from the command line
using wget or curl.
