Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.

rar files not unpacking
I am new to using SABnzbd and have it installed on my Mac mini and set up with sonaar. I have downloaded a few different Rar files and once they are downloaded they just sit there with a spinning wheel beside them, and does not give any error messages. I do have "built in unrar" box checked.

Would be nice to know which SABnzbd version and which OSX version.
Did you try entering an NZB without the help of Sonarr?

OS X : 10.8.5
SABnzbd : 0.7.20
Haven't tried to download without the help of sonaar because as of right now nothing will download.

I just restarted my computer as she is unpacking right now! Could it of had something to do with my installing Python?

Sometimes OSX is just like Windows. A reboot does wonders
