Passwordfile not loading correctly

Hello.

Today I've set up sabnzbd, because it appears to be the best usenet client.
In order to use the "Glitter-Template" I've downloaded version 0.8.0Alpha3.

I've set everything up and downloaded my first things. I've placed a password.txt on my e-drive and linked it according to it's path under settings -> folders.

After my downloads all rar files are running into an error saying, that they need a password - however all passwords are stored within the password.
I'm trying to find the issue since half an hour, however I can't find the mistake.

According to some help in other threads I've checked the logfile:
I have one entry from yesterday saying the following:

But I think this was still under the original version, not the alpha.

That confuses me is the part wherein it says, that I've set a password, as I didn't

Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?
Is it maybe because of the Alpha-version? But actually I can't believe that tbh...

Any help is highly appreciated.

btw... the passwords file is containing over 30 passwords, so above message is definitely outdated

I'll look into this matter for the Alpha release.
Instead of using a lot of password in a single file, you can also set a password per job.
Click on the job name to get the job details. Fill in the password box.
If that box is missing, just type a slash / at the end of the job name and enter the password.
In Alpha3 you can enter the password in this way at the bottom of the Add-NZB dialog.

If you have a password file with 30 entries, then SABnzbd may need at worst 30 unpack attempts, which isn't very efficient.

Hi shypike, thanks for your answer and help!
It's quite a hassle to add the passwords for each job. Therefore I'd prefer the passwordfile
Using JDownloader I had a passwordlist containing approx 1000 passwords, which was running really good. If it takes some time, this doesn't mean an issue to me.

I don't know.
I have seen complaints before but mostly from non-Windows non-Apple systems that had
problems with access rights.
So far, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

Hi.
I think I've found the issue - and it's not really related to SABnzbd itself...

I'm using the chrome extension SABconnect++ and added my downloads from nzbindex directly using the button, that this extension provides.
When clicking this button for some reason a password is being set to the download - which is incorrect, obviously

I have removed the passwords manually in SABnzbd and now everything unrars just fine!
