Hi everyone,
I would like to make a small server box to run SABnzbd, CouchPotato, SickBeard and possibly Headphones. I want to build a bare-bones computer to run all of this, something that will run quiet(ish) also. What is the minimum hardware I will need to run this smoothly, it's the only thing that will be running on the computer other then the OS. Set it and forget it. Minimum Ram, CPU.. etc. I would greatly appreciate any advice/help you guys can give me.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.

Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.
Re: Small Server Box
I run SABnzbd on system with a modest Atom CPU.
It gets up to 6-7 Mbytes/sec, it does struggle a bit with repairs.
Most modest Intel CPU will get to a better speed.
Having at least 1 GB memory is important.
It runs Ubuntu Linux which gives better results than Windows.

Re: Small Server Box
I was planning on something beefy enough to run windows 8/10 most likely. I can barely navigate my way around command line. I know I can set up in windows environment much quicker.
Re: Small Server Box
That's ok.
My server box ran about 30-40% less efficient under Windows,
but a better CPU will compensate for that.

Re: Small Server Box
Maybe Freenas might be an idea for you? Installation is dead easy and it has a nice web based control panel. Dno if there is a sab plugin though.DamnLag wrote:I was planning on something beefy enough to run windows 8/10 most likely. I can barely navigate my way around command line.
