Download all available blocks
I am having this "strange" problem
Lets say I am downloading an nzb , which consists of 100 mb of datafiles and 4 megabytes of parfiles
When I download the full nzb , sabnzbd says correctly that the nzb is 104 MB
It downloads the whole nzb , and then it fails , because it didn't download all of the 4 MB of parfiles (lets say it downloads 2,5 MB of the total 4) , resulting in crc errors during unpack etc
IF i download the pars in a separate nzb , it again downloads the 2,5 MB and then I get this
"not enough blocks downloading all available repair blocks"
After that it downloads the remaining 1,5 MB of pars !
So now with the full parset , I can repair succesfully the data files and unpack them with no problem . But of course all this has to be done manually !
This is happening with various nzb , all downloaded from newzbin
Could it be crappy nzb ?
Is there any option , so I can download all availlable par blocks by default?
Any help?
[edit1] When I create the nzb I see ALL of the par files
When I upload the nzb to sabnzbd , some pars are missing!
THAT must be the problem!
Why is that happening?

Re: Download all available blocks
Make sure sabnzbd is not downloading, and add the nzb again. Are the par2 files still missing?
If so, you can email the newzbin id to bugs@sabnzbd.org with a link back to this topic so I can look into further.

Re: Download all available blocks
Did you check your log ?
Are the par files maybe missing from the server of your newsgroup provider ?
How old are the files ? How much retention ?

I've send you the email as requested
The files are 6 days old , so that's not the problemrascalli wrote: Did you check your log ?

Also the fact that the par2 files are on my usenet server is also clear because when I make a nzb with only the parfiles all the parfiles download without problem
Re: Download all available blocks
I just downloaded the first job you listed in your email.
Before downloading, I removed one file to force a repair.
The whole job downloaded and repaired fine.
This was on Windows, which platform do you use?

Is there any option so I can always force repair?
I use linux btw (Ubuntu 8.10 Interpid)
PS Could you also try the second one I emailed you or could you try to download the first one WITHOUT deleting one file?
Re: Download all available blocks
I added the pars from the second item, and got 417MB of par's like I should. Are you sure your queue was paused when you added them?

Should I pause before adding a nzb?
Is this what you mean?
PS Thanx in advance for your valuable help!!
Re: Download all available blocks
There's nothing to force. It always does a par2-repair run.braveheart1980 wrote: Is there any option so I can always force repair?

In the best case it doesn't need repairing and so it's the equivalent of a verify.
If you must, you can force a repair by removing a file.
You don't need to pause.
However if you want to remove some files from the job first, you'd better pause
before adding the NZB.

Re: Download all available blocks
D@mn!
This strange thing happened again in another nzb also! (email you the Nezbin ID)
Again :
1)File downloaded
2)Par files where missing , repair was impossible
3)Downloaded the par2 files in a separate nzb
4)Copied them to the download folder
5)par2 r filename and tada IT REPAIRED!
From sabnzbd+ history:
"
2009-01-18 23:35:35 filename Failed
Stage Download
[Time-Taken]: 56 minutes 23 seconds
[Avg-Speed]: 1425kB/s
Stage Par2
[PAR-INFO] filename.other: => Verified in 3.0s, all files correct
[PAR-INFO] filename: => Repaired in 453.2s ( ERROR: CRC failed in "filename.mkv" (since the repair didn't complete successfully)
And I say once more that manually downloading the nzb with the par2 files , I get correct repair and unpack

Re: Download all available blocks
When this next happens, could you do the following before you download additional pars, and email us the text file:
Code: Select all
par2 r filename > c:\par2-output.txt-

Re: Download all available blocks
Happened again , here is the output as requested --> http://rapidshare.de/files/42471511/par2out.txt.html
Based to that output , repaired completed fine , but I get crc errors AGAIN during unpacking
If once again, download the pars manually , some files are repaired and THEN unpacking works

Re: Download all available blocks
The file ends with "All files are correct, repair is not required".
So:
- Does SABnzbd tell you it is not correct?
- Does unrar complain about problems?
I getting a bit confused.
What exactly is it that goes wrong?
BTW: I'm a bit behind with downloading reports you sent (caused by your preference for large downloads).
The first one had 0 problems.
The second one I forgot to check this morning.
