502 Invalid username or password for AstraWeb

Post by mastiffguy »

I started recieveing "502 invalid username or password" from my AstraWeb web server in sabnzbd 0.7.20 loaded on a windows 8 OS. My UseNet server credentials worked just fine.
When I tried a clean re-install of sabnzbd with only the AstraWeb server listed and "tested" the connection in install it came back with a valid connection but when I tested it after the install was complete I once again recieve the "502 Invalid username or password for AstraWeb" when I test the server.

The credentials I'm using are valid as I can use them on the AstraWeb site. in the logging I see "Attempt to login with wrong credentials from ::1"

Any Ideas?

That part is caused by a third-party program trying to use SABnzbd's API.
Do you have any web browser plugins that support Usenet downloaders?
Do you have some security suite installed?

The best way to test Astraweb credentials is to run a test with another Usenet program.
Try Grabit: easy to setup and it has the basic functionality.
