Is it possible to replace UnRAR and Par2 with alternate software without having to manually post-process? If so, how would that be done?
I've been getting seriously long verifying and unpacking times lately and wanted to see if using alternate software for these functions would speed things up a little.

Re: Replace UnRAR and Par2?
There aren't any alternatives that support automation.
The old QuickPar is indeed faster than most other par2 programs.
But it can only be used in interactive mode.
unrar can be a problem on OSX systems when writing to an SMB share (slow).
There's no plug-in alternative for it.
In principle 7zip could replace unrar, but it's not plugin compatible
and is always a bit behind with formats.
