Re: Categories - Groups/Indexer Tags
Well, should any of the three sorting options be enabled, it will have an influence. Other than that there is no reason why your category cannot be called TV. Especially not since a.b.multimedia as a category name has no relation with the group name alt.binaries.multimedia. TV can only be a "s...

Re: Categories - Groups/Indexer Tags
You mixing up things. The categories are coupled to the Sort functions. Each Sort has a list of associated categories. So when you change the name of a category, you must check your Sort functions. If you have "Season Sort" enabled without a category list, it will gobble up all categories...

I suspect you're doing something wrong.

Re: Categories - Groups/Indexer Tags
Apparently I can't just put the name of the group in the far column, but I have to name the category itself after the group AND binsearch names them weird so when I wanted to sort things from alt.binaries.multimedia I had to name the group "a.b.multimedia" for it to work. You don't need t...

Re: Categories - Groups/Indexer Tags
Well all of the files I've been trying to test this on I've been grabbing from binsearch.info so the simple categories that work from nzbmatrix and newzbin obviously won't work. But your comment led me to look at how they were named a little closer and I found this in the SABconnect++ documentation ...

Categories - Groups/Indexer Tags
I'm trying to figure out the best way to get my downloads to go to the proper folders without me having to manually set their category after I start the download. From what I understand, that's accomplished by using the "Groups/Indexer Tags" column when setting categories but for the life ...

Re: Novice Cannot Pull It Together! - will pay for help
58 year old, fairly computer literate, cannot pull this together. I used the howtogeek guide on setting up "tivio" type operation on my computer. Probably misinterpreted some of the settings instructions. Subcribed to giganews, nzbmatrix, SABnzbd, SickBeard, and installed XBMC. SAB shows ...

Re: Post-Processing/Job Options?
So any idea why it won't save the setting when I choose it from the drop-down menu and hit the save button? I looked through the forums here before I posted and all I could find was a brief mention of needing a valid folder/path or it wouldn't save the settings, but in the case of the default there...

Post-Processing/Job Options?
So I must be going crazy or stupid or something because I swear I've set these multiple times in the past with no issue, but I just reformatted and reinstalled and I'm using the new v0.6.2 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I can't find the option to change post processing ANYWHERE. I thought it was in t...

Re: Newbie - Retention Question
Should I bother trying to find a free server to set up as a backup or optional server for SAB or is Giganews alone enough? Also, at what point during the process are the files in the cleanup list deleted? It says they're deleted "after download" but is that after everything has been repai...

Newbie - Retention Question
Hey all, I decided to give newsgroups a try yesterday as I was getting tired of P2P and wary of torrents and thus far I've been getting some rather mixed results; I was hoping someone could answer a question (or two!) for me. Keep in mind that I have no idea what I'm doing, so it's quite possibly s...
