I'm tempted to delete the topic but figured I'd post what I did to resolve the issue. I used Appzapper to remove Sabnzbd+ and it's application data and reinstalled the program. Should have tried the basics first. Now I'm back to having my precious menu bar icon! Great new feature.

Been using Sabnzbd+ on my Mac for a while now and just recently upgraded to v0.5.0. The very first thing I noticed was the convenient Menu bar icon.
