In this case, moving the files from the Completed folder wouldn't help, but in generation yeah that is good advice.
This is the first time I've encountered anything like this, so I can understand why a feature to interrupt a post-process may be easily overlooked.

Alright, I had to restart several times, but now it let me purge it from the list. Problem solved!

Endless post-processing?
I encountered what must have been a bad NZB file, and what was supposed to be a 25gb file grew into 545gb over night. SABnzbd was constantly cranking out copies of the same files over and over again during post-process, for 8 hours. Not finding any "cancel" button, I simply deleted the NZB...
