That solved it indeed, I find it a bit odd though considering apps like Ruby on Rails run fine without root user on port 3000. Thanks either way!shypike wrote: All Linux system forbid access to lower port numbers for non-root users.
Try using a port above 8000.

[Ubuntu] Exception in HTTPServer; Permission denied
I've recently switched to Ubuntu and ofc decided to install sabnzbdplus, sadly I'm facing an error when running sabnzbdplus as non-root; it's not able to set up a socket for the cherrypy server. The exact error generated is the following: Exception in thread HTTPServer Thread-11: Traceback (most rec...

Re: Wrong element parsed in RSS feed or incompatbility
Wouldn't it be great if search sites adhered to some sort of standard? I'm not sure if we can (or even want to) support this. I suppose the 'can' part shouldn't be too difficult, simply check if such an element exists and if so, use it, the 'want' part is up to you though ;). In case the 'want' par...

Hi there, I'm trying to get started with the RSS option of Sabnzbd, however, I'm finding it difficult to actually find a working feed, for instance I've tried this one from NZBIndex.nl , however, it seems like that site is using a different XML formatting than Sab expects; the NZB link is in an 'enc...

Re: NZB watch folder not properly handled on start
Do you use nzbstatus extension with firefox ? If yes your problem is that your nzbtatus is configured to send downloaded nzb to sabnzbd daemon... but without checking if it's running or not... Hope it helps... Thanks a lot, I assumed that option was only relevant when 'Open' would be used, but this...

NZB watch folder not properly handled on start
0.4.0RC2 has the issue that when you download NZBs into the watch folder that has been set while the daemon isn't running, the NZBs will be deleted when Sabnzbd+ starts, however, they aren't added to the queue. Upgrading to RC4 now to see if it's resolved in that version, however, I've been having t...
