Re: How to handle too long file names?

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll wait for Beta2.

How will this solve the problem? Do they allow renaming, or is it done for you?

How to handle too long file names?

SABnzbd sometimes chokes on a file name which is longer than Windows will allow. The path isn't unusually long (N:\Downloads\Incomplete). SAB throws an error and puts itself into Pause saying it couldn't create the folder (because it would exceed Windows limitation). The only way I know of to get th...

Re: Help please ... slow to zero download rates.

When this happens to me (which is quite often) I go to Status > Connections and manually Force Disconnect, which usually solves it. I've read elsewhere if you find the offending server that's hanging (again, in Connections), you can then go to your server configuration and reduce the Timeout from t...

Re: Help please ... slow to zero download rates.

So, when I'm doing 6-7 MB/s, that's all I can hope for ... which is fine with me, I wish I saw that rate more frequently though. ISP = Comcast. I don't know if they're throttling. Ethernet to the DL box, hard wired. Successful? Usually, eventually. But, why does it come to a complete stand still? I ...

Help please ... slow to zero download rates.

My setup: HP Pavilion desktop Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 AMD A10-5700 Quad 12.0 GB Dual channel DDR3 @ 665 MHz Firefox 41.0.2 SABnzbd, CouchPotato, Sonarr -------- I've been using this setup for going on a year. I've had few issues, not much worthy of too much concern, until recently. My inte...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

Sorry about dragging up this Zombie from three months ago. I've had the same problem several times since. And each time, it's the same situation. Sonarr has requested a file which is an entire season, rather than individual episodes. It doesn't seem as though it would be the size of the file thats t...

Re: Ratings question

I ask it here because the feedback buttons are integral to SABnzbd. I see a feature of the program and want to know how to properly use it. That was the purpose of the thread anyway. Sorry if you think I went a bit OT.

Re: Ratings question

To be clear ... if a downloaded file is the intended file, but I would've preferred a higher resolution ... it's a negative?

And, what effect does that have? I'm not indicating the reason for the displeasure.

Re: Ratings question

Thanks for the quick reply. So, even if it is the correct file, but at a lower quality than I desire, it should be a negative, if I understand you correctly. Another question (hey, it says Newbie right under my handle) ... where do the scores in Couchpotato come from? And, if the file is totally off...

Ratings question

I've looked here and Googled, but haven't found an answer. In the downloaded History section, there are clickable up and down thumbs for each file. Does this feedback count somewhere, like on the Score ratings seen in Couchpotato? Or anywhere else? I just started giving a thumbs up if the file is wh...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

Couldn't wait. I re-installed. Didn't help. But, I didn't uninstall beforehand. I attempted a queue repair unsuccessfully. EDIT: Since that didn't work, I went ahead and did a full uninstall, tracked down as much leftover stuff as I could find and deleted it, including the contents of my incompleted...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

Yes, I believe they were only around 4-6 GB. But, I have downloaded movie files which were 16-17 GB without this issue. I don't know how the season files are organized, or if that's even relevant. But, both log jams seem to have had that in common. SABnzbd indicates this file is 6.8 GB, has 178 arti...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

It has happened again. This time I see something similar to the last time. The file which is clogging things up is identified as a Season file (i.e., S01), rather than an episode file (S01E01) and appeared to be about 15X the size of episode files. I've put SAB on pause again and am going to hit the...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

Unfortunately, I kept fiddling with it before I saw your last post. So, I didn't do exactly as you prescribed. I ended SABnzbd in the Task Manager. After doing that, I was able to also end par2. I rebooted the PC and opened SABnzbd, CouchPotato and Sonarr. My SABnzbd queue had been emptied and histo...

Re: File processing issue, or what?

Thanks for your response.

I attempted to end par2, it won't die. I've since rebooted and tried to kill it again. No joy. It won't stop.
