Here's what I did:
Went to http://www.google.com/settings/security "Access for less secure apps" was turned off, turned it on and voila started working right away.

Got it to work with old settings!
Here's what I did:
Went to http://www.google.com/settings/security "Access for less secure apps" was turned off, turned it on and voila started working right away.

Thanks for the prompt reply! Replaced smtp.gmail.com:587 with gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com left "OPTIONAL Account Username" and "OPTIONAL Account Password" blank, saved changes and did test, it was showing verifying and then at the end says "Failed to connect to mail server&qu...
