Thanks for all your help. I've been away so only just had chance to look at this.. All sorted now - I needed to upgrade my Giganews account as I apparently had the 'old' bronze account and now I can connect with SSL

Thanks. I tried NZB drop and got nowhere either.. Didn't try it with VPN disconnected though as I had that brainwave later on in the evening, will try later. There must be plenty of people who download nzb's and use a VPN for protection though surely?

Hi, I have just successfully downloaded a file, I switched off my VPN.. I didn't realise this would cause a problem? As the whole reason for me getting it was to protect my privacy.. Is there a way to use sabnzb with my VPN on? Thanks.
