Re: System freeze ~10 seconds after resuming download
BTW, since some downloads were completing and others weren't, I enabled full logging on my dietpi box to try to catch an issue as it happened. I didn't see anything obvious in syslog prior to the last issue I had, so I'm really leaning toward some sort of hardware issue. Either SD card, external HD,...

Re: System freeze ~10 seconds after resuming download
But the 1GB test download went without problems, didn't it? It did. What's more, a couple other files not in my paused queue downloaded without crashing the system. So I tried downloading my paused files one at a time, which worked for a couple of them, but then the system crashed again. Options fo...

Re: System freeze ~10 seconds after resuming download
Yes, enable debug logging. You can check the logs without access to the web UI. But, I suggest starting SABnzbd at the CLI in non-daemon mode. Then you can watch what happens live. OK, I set debug logging in the web interface and then did sudo service sabnzbd stop and sudo service sabnzbd start in ...

System freeze ~10 seconds after resuming download
I've started experiencing this issue in the last week. SABnzbd version: 4.5.3 [7a5ca5b] System: Debian Bookworm Linux 6.12.47+rpt-rpi-v8 aarch64 I have a number of downloads paused in the queue. Within ~ 10 seconds of unpausing the top download, I lose the connection to SAB in the web interface. My ...

Throwing "unknown encoding" error after upgrading to bullseye
Hi. I upgraded my RPi3 running DietPi to bullseye yesterday and am now getting this error from sabnzbd: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/etc/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/dirscanner.py", line 223, in ProcessSingleFile nzo_info=nzo_info, url=url, reuse=reuse, dup_check=dup_check) File "/etc...

Re: 0.8.0 B4 ENGINE TypeError('expected string or buffer',)
I'm getting the same thing on 0.8.0Beta3 [0b6395f] with Python 2.7.3 (default, Mar 13 2014, 11:03:55) [GCC 4.7.2], Debian Wheezy. ERROR 07/01/2016 12:52 [07/Jan/2016:12:52:41] ENGINE TypeError('expected string or buffer',) Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/sabnzbdplus/cherrypy...

Advice for Debian 7 n00b
I've been looking over the forums and am hoping to distill the current best practice for installing sabnzbd on a remote server running Debian 7. I've noticed the author of the following blog posting here lately so am hoping his(?) instructions are current: http://www.htpcguides.com/install-sabnzbd-o...

Updating cask-installed version with beta [OSX]
Hello. I have a version of 0.7.20 installed on my MacBook that I installed from a homebrew cask. It's installed in this location: /opt/homebrew-cask/Caskroom/sabnzbd/0.7.20/ How do I now install the beta, since there's no cask for it? I'm running El Capitan, BTW. Thanks! I f%#king love this software!

Recommendation for OSX 10.5.8 on PPC?
I've been plugging along fairly happily with sabnzbd on my PPC Mac Mini running Leopard (10.5.8) until this most recent sabnzbd update, which doesn't appear to offer a pre-Snow Leopard install option? I wonder, should I just disable update notifications (if that's even possible) and continue as I ha...

Re: Multi-part tv episode trouble
Files before processing are:
SHOW.Series_1_Episode_2_Part_1.mp4
SHOW.Series_1_-_Episode_2_Part_2.mp4
FWIW.
SHOW.Series_1_Episode_2_Part_1.mp4
SHOW.Series_1_-_Episode_2_Part_2.mp4

Multi-part tv episode trouble
Trying to work with a episode of a show that, for some reason, is broken into two parts. SAB is removing one part when it downloads the second part, even though the files have different names (e.g. S01E02.Part1.ext and s01e02.-.Episode.2.ext). The processing log includes this line: File exists and i...

Re: Unable to move file -- invalid mode: wb
Do other downloads work properly? Can you manually move files with "special" characters? What kind of NAS is it? Yup, other downloads work fine, and I don't recall ever seeing this particular error before. I did end up copying the file manually from the command line and then scanning it i...
