Never mind -- somehow I managed to delete the port number (587) at the end of the server address. All is well now.

Anyone having issues with email notification when using the Gmail SMTP server? All of a sudden I stopped getting all email notifications. If I attempt to send a test email, it spins on "Verifying" for a few minutes and then errors out. After each test attempt, I get an error in the log say...
