It seems all I had to do was rename the "completed downloads folder" from "downloads/complete" to "/mnt/array1/share/My_Downloads" and I can now view my downloads from windows explorer

That sounds like it might help, thanks shypike. The only problem I have is that the current version of Sab I have was installed for me by the person who sold me the Linkstation using Teamviewer to access my PC and something called Putty.
