Re: Some downloads fail due to misnamed rars
@LordM: That is interesting because when I ran this command it worked! There are two differences though. First, I ran as my primary user, not as "sab-user". Second, I opened the cmd-prompt in the "incomplete" folder (as instructed by Shypike). I assume you ran it from the default...

Re: Some downloads fail due to misnamed rars
SOLVED! First I have to apologize to Shypike for taking your up your time! Had I only read Lord M's post thoroughly it would have been solved right there :-[ He pointed out EXACTLY where the problem was! In my case I have a folder structure like: D:\Downloads\Usenet\<subfolders> I DID assign Full C...

Re: Some downloads fail due to misnamed rars
@Lord M: I have exactly the same configuration as you have, incl. running as a separate user account only used for self-created services. I will definitly look into the rights of the incomlete folder tonight! It might also well be that this problem arose in the same timeframe as I upgraded to 0.7.19...

Re: Some downloads fail due to misnamed rars
Gaahhh...I was afraid of that ;) Thank's for looking into it anyway! I use the latest stable SAB version running as as a service on win 7 ultimate (headless server) . I also use CouchPotato to feed SAB, although that shouldn't matter. I use Tweaknews as provider, if that's of any significance? Is th...

Re: Some downloads fail due to misnamed rars
There are a few threads on this topic, so I choose the latest one, even thought it's not been active for a good while now. The problem with misnamed rar-files seems to increase. This last three nzb's I downloaded all had this problem which causes sab to fail but that Q-par fixes by renaming (no repa...

Re: Advice for server configuration
Ok, thanks shypike! I'll choose the AW eu server as primary, since I live in Sweden it should give the best speed, and the AW us server as backup together with the BN server. So, if the eu server says "I don't have this article", SAB will ask one of the backups (randomly selected ?). In ca...

Advice for server configuration
I would appreciate advice on "best practice" for setting up my servers. My primary provider is Astraweb. Would there be any benefits or drawbacks in having both the eu and us servers set as Active? I might add that I also have a BlockNews account which I have set as Backup following advice...
