0.5.6 seems to make no difference at all. Still 1-3 seconds of full-speed followed by 1-3 seconds of nothing.

Try telling your router to give NNTP traffic (or the ports you sue for it) a low QoS priority. Unfortunately, my router's QoS settings are worthless at best. It seems like this past version update did this become more of a problem. Set the limit on the GUI.

In past versions, the speed limiter worked just fine...but in the latest ones, it's all over the place.
