Re: cannot logon remotely when running as a service
SABnzbd.exe and SABnzbd-service.exe are two separate programs. You need to give each permission in the Windows Firewall. Hi shypike, Thanks for clarifying and of course you were right ;) I had incorrectly assumed blah blah blah and after adding the SABnzbd-service.exe to the firewall I can now acce...

Re: cannot logon remotely when running as a service
You still need to tell your Windows Firewall to let SABnzbd-service.exe listen to port 8100. Hi shypike, Thanks for the feed back but as I can access sabnzbd through Internet Explorer from my personal PC i.e. across the network when I run the sabnzbd.exe on the HTPC then it would indicate to me thi...

Re: cannot logon remotely when running as a service
Sorry for the lack of clarity, what a shocker post. On the HTPC when sabnzbd is running via the EXE I can access sabnzbd through Internet Explorer from my personal PC; when I setup sabnzbd to run as a service on the HTPC I cannot access sabnzbd through Internet Explorer. When sabnzbd is run as a ser...

cannot logon remotely when running as a service
Hi, I have sabnzbd running on the home theatre PC and setup sabnzbd as a service as per the How to install on WHS intstructions and all appears to be fine when logged in physically or remotely. The issue is that I was unable to log into sabnzbd remotely as was previously possible. I did some tests w...

Re: Network port configuration through a firewall
bump... hoping one of the developers could advise which ports are being used and need to be configured in the firewall; thanks.
Surely someone must know?

Re: Network port configuration through a firewall
Alternatively, can SABnzbd be configured to use the router, that is, can I configure SABnzbd to access the router directly by defining the gateway IP in a config file?
Thanks,

Re: Network port configuration through a firewall
I do not want remote management; at this time anyway. That will come later with the HTPC. SABnzbd is installed on my personal computer, I can access SABnzbd and SABnzbd downloads when my personal computer has a direct connection to the internet. SABnzbd does not download when sitting behind the fire...

Re: Network port configuration through a firewall
"I am presuming that SABnzbd requires other ports to be configured." yes, that's correct: normally it's port 8080 But: is your own SABnzbd-machine behind a firewall that is not yours, and you want to access SABnzbd remotely? Do you have local access to the machine running SABnzbd? If so, ...

Re: Network port configuration through a firewall
Hi Sander,
Thanks, 119 is enabled but it is not working and I am presuming that SABnzbd requires other ports to be configured.
For example, ICQ requires 4000 UDP send and 0 TCP in, 1025-5000 TCP in/out and 0 UDP receive.
Thanks,
IaMaDog1914

Network port configuration through a firewall - Resolved
Hi all, As per below I was having trouble with SABnzbd not downloading when sitting behind the Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010 firewall. The resolving action was to create a Network Object associated with my Computer and then re-configure the SABnzbd network policy to listen to the Computer...
