Re: SAB won't accept password and username
The tray icon is what I used to select the "troubleshoot/Restart without login" but I don't see a "Troubleshoot->Restart - no password". Seems to be the same thing, though. I'll try resetting the unsername/password again. Thanks for your response.

Re: SAB won't accept password and username
I'm using port 119 and my OS is Win7 Ultimate. I did get the Firefox screen to open by clicking on the SAB icon and selecting troubleshoot/Restart without login so I guess it's something of a moot point but I still don't understand why it stopped accepting my username and password. SAB is currently ...

SAB won't accept password and username
Suddenly SAB has stopped functioning in Firefox. Says it need a password and username but won't accept what I give it. I found the ini file so I know what it wants but it won't accept it. I did just upgrade to Docsis 3.0 today so perhaps it's a port issue? The port was set at 119. I'd certainly appr...

Re: Cannot get SAB to start
Thanks for the info. I will just ignore the warnings unless I start noticing tendrils of smoke coming from the computer. Again, thanks for all the help.

Re: Cannot get SAB to start
Making sure the +Delete was indicated solved the problem. I do have one more set of warnings being sent. I'm now perfectly happy with the downloads but I noticed there were a series of warning like this: 2011-12-21 00:33:51,871 ERROR: Saving C:\Users\jim\AppData\Local\sabnzbd\admin\totals9.sab faile...

Re: Cannot get SAB to start
Almost have it completed. Connection problem was due to a missing password. Now everything is working fine except the post processing isn't happening. That's not horribly critical since I have the programs to take care of that manually, but I'm used to SABnzbd doing it for me. I think I've checked a...

Re: Cannot get SAB to start
OK, I think I figured out the WARNING message about HTTP and HTTPS. Both of those fields in configuration had a 8080 entry so I took the one out of the HTTPS field and restarted SABnzbd and the warning disappeared. Sickbeard is telling me it is "unable to connect to SAB: socket error. What do I...

Re: Cannot get SAB to start
I used the Safe Mode method and that worked to get me a browser page. I'm rather lost at this point because the page is totally different than what I'm used to but I'm sure it won't take long to get used to it. However, Sickbeard isn't connecting with SABnzbd and SABnzbd is giving me a message: HTTP...

Cannot get SAB to start
I'm at a loss here. I've been using SAB for a couple of years and think it's great. Suddenly, however, it doesn't want to run at all. I'm running Win7 Ultimate 32 and using Thunderbird as a browser. I'm using Windows Defender for virus protection and Windows Firewall. I checked the SAB.ini file (aft...

Re: Sabnzbd web interface not accessible
I apologize if I've muddied the waters. I do remember clicking that htpps box when I was setting it up but it hadn't occurred to me that was the problem. I'll try doing as you suggested and if I'm still having problems I'll start a new thread. Once again, sorry for the confusion.

Re: Sabnzbd web interface not accessible
I don't have any help but I have almost the same problem using Win7 Ultimate 32. I've now installed the latest version, went through the startup screen and gave it my info and it says it is running and task manager confirms that, But I cannot get to the screen on my Firefox browser as I have always ...

Re: Can't connect with 8080
All is well. Once I got SAB open and could see the address/port that was working, I went back into Sick Beard and corrected that and now it's running as it should. I still have no idea what caused this problem in the first place but at least I know a little more than I did and may be better prepared...

Re: Can't connect with 8080
Some progress. SAB opened after I changed the ini port # to 8106. However, I still seem to have no link between Sick Beard and SAB. I'm getting that same error message from Sick Beard: Unable to connect to SAB: socket error
Any ideas?

Changed as you suggested and got the message: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:8080.

Re: Can't connect with 8080
Went to the ini file. First instance of port is "1". I've tried changing that 1 in the url to 8080, 8085,8090,8095 but get the same message from Firefox saying I can't use that port. Interestingly enough, SAB will open in Internet Explorer and uses the 192.168.1.6:1/sabnzbd address. Howeve...
