I have a few ?'s, here's the background: I'm building an unRAID server, which runs on Slackware Linux 12.2.  I've rarely used CLI's  so I'm expecting a steep learning curve here.  On the other hand, A's in Comp Sci I, II and mathematics bachelors so I can't be that dumb.  Maybe there is hope. Anyhow...
